No, this post is not just an attempt to bribe you to visit my blog by posting a picture of a very cute babe. Not quite anyway. If I had wanted to do that, I would at least have picked a photo of a baby I know, or better yet, posted a picture of my dog, Sophie.
I ran across this post by artist Susanna Bluhm while I was researching the Youngstown Cultural center which I wrote about earlier. But her post for some reason was a wake up call to me to remember to get away from the computer once in a while so I can go out and meet actual, real live people in the flesh. When I worked a stressful 9-5 job, I couldn’t wait to get some time to myself. But now that I’m mostly just writing and working from home, I often forget that life needs balance.
So, my peeps, don’t forget to prod me once in a while to make sure I make live contact with someone other than just my very adorable Sophie. Because if left to my own devices, there is a very real danger I could turn into a hermit.
At least I won’t have to worry about growing a beard.
This post is really just to say that I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you. I really really like you.
